Visit of BIP students from the Department of Sustainable Management to Kaunas Intermodal Terminal

On December 2, students from the Department of Sustainable Management participating in the BIP project visited the Kaunas Intermodal Terminal, where they had the opportunity to learn more about the principles of intermodal transport and sustainable logistics solutions.

The students learned how rail and road transport solutions are effectively combined, how freight flows are organized, and how important the terminal is in reducing environmental pollution and promoting sustainable mobility. The modern infrastructure of the terminal, loading processes, and the role of the terminal in international logistics chains were also presented.

This visit allowed students to link their theoretical knowledge with practice and better understand the importance of sustainable management solutions in modern logistics.

We would like to thank Mantas Kajokas, the manager of the Kaunas Intermodal Terminal, for his warm and informative welcome.
