Since the beginning of December 2011, Vilnius College has joined the Eduroam wireless network service (for more information, visit www.eduroam.lt and www.eduroam.org).
EDUROAM is an inter-network service that allows different organizations participating in the project to use a unified wireless user authentication system. Currently, this service is available on the premises of educational institutions and in their wireless network zones in 69 countries around the world.
Wireless connectivity within the premises of Vilnius College is available to Vilnius College students, staff, and guests.
If you want your device to work correctly not only at the college but also at other educational institutions, you need to enter the correct identifier. That is, when entering the user identifier, you must specify not only the ID but also the college server address, e.g. s012345@ad.viko.lt.
Where s000000 is your identifier in the college’s information systems, and ad.viko.lt is the name of the service server (it is the same for all faculties).
For employees, use v.pavarde@ad.viko.lt.
You can use only your ID, but in this case it will only work on the college network.
