The Department of Sustainable Management launched its physical BIP week, “Green Multimodal Transportation.”

On December 1, the Department of Sustainable Management launched the Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) week “Green Multimodal Transportation.” This programme is organised in cooperation with LINEKA, the Lithuanian National Association of Freight Forwarders and Logistics, which is the project’s client this year. During the BIP, students will analyze and solve real challenges posed by LINEKA related to more sustainable multimodal transport solutions and visions for a greener logistics future.

The first day of the meeting was dedicated not only to the launch of the project, but also to getting to know each other. The students worked in mixed groups, performed teamwork tasks, and discussed sustainable transport and the project’s goals. The day was special and community-oriented – the guests, together with the faculty students and staff, contributed to the traditional Christmas tree decoration, thus symbolically starting the festive season.

One of the highlights of the day was Prof. A. Kawa’s workshop “Publish and don’t perish! How to sell your scientific product?” Participants learned how to properly present, publish, and apply scientific research in practice so that it becomes visible and valuable to a wider audience.

In the evening, the participants visited the Vilnius Gingerbread workshop, where they learned the secrets of traditional gingerbread making, created their own decorations, and spent a cozy and creative time together.
